Although we (Eastlyn & Joshua), are not full videographers ourselves, we do have associates that work under our brand to create your wedding film.

We have a field in our contact form that says, “what draws you to our work?” and 95% of the time the response is about the candid feel of our photos, our “fly on the wall” style, or how our images don’t feel posed or forced. There’s a good chance that’s why you’re here too. And that’s exactly our heart behind our work. When you look back at a particular photograph, you shouldn’t have to remember how awkward you felt doing what seemed like a hundred poses to fabricate something inauthentic. Our hope is that through our candid-style photography, when you look back through your gallery, you can re-live your actual emotions of excitement, happiness, love, etc. As photographers in the industry for a while now, we’ve found that one of the most challenging things that we face at weddings is working with separate video teams. This is because they have their own vision and approach (and rightfully so—all artists are different). We value all videographers and respect what they do and how they do it, but sometimes it doesn’t blend well with the way we approach storytelling. So, to stay true to creating intimate and quiet spaces for our couples during portraits, we believed it was imperative for us to bring filmmakers under our brand with an approach aligning with our photography vision. During portraits, we bring you into a real moment and document it candidly, it’s important that these moments are not interrupted. Being able to work in harmony with videographers who value a candid approach to authentic moments, rather than direct every part of the day like it’s a movie, allows real moments to happen candidly and naturally. We give our filmmakers the space they need to create content for your film, and because of the nature of video, there will always need to be some direction (and audio recording), but by working in tandem and understanding each other’s needs, the flow of your day will be smooth, and your portrait time with us won’t feel forced or rushed.

Meet Matthew & Kayla

From Matthew: I have spent the last few years as a full time editor, specifically helping creators online express themselves through video. Over the last year, however, Kayla and I have been able to dive into creating wedding films that truly catch all of the naturally magical moments of a couples’ day. For us, it’s about all of those moments—big and small. We are always down for some fun and to adventure a bit off the beaten path! Working alongside Joshua and Eastlyn allows our vision and style to flow seamlessly, making for a more natural and stress free experience for you.

Both Kayla and I have a love for being creative, but we each bring a different perspective to the table! You will catch me doing all things technical and making sure we get those grand moments captured to perfection; while Kayla focuses on creative elements and gives attention to the smallest details of your day. We believe that you truly get the best service when we work in tandem, without one detail going unnoticed. We truly can’t wait to get to capture your most magical moments!
