Getting Ready at Jackson Lake Lodge
McKenna & Jeremiah chose Jackson Lake Lodge as their getting-ready location, and it could not have been more perfect. The lodge’s large windows provided an unparalleled view of Mount Moran, setting the scene for a peaceful and picturesque afternoon.
One of the highlights of this part of the day was McKenna’s father-daughter first look. Just outside their rooms, a grove of golden aspen trees created the perfect private setting for this emotional moment. Of all the places we’ve photographed getting-ready moments in the Tetons, this was by far our favorite. The natural light, the quiet seclusion, and the breathtaking scenery made it an unforgettable start to their wedding day.
First Look at Cathedral Group Turnout
From Jackson Lake Lodge, we made our way to Cathedral Group Turnout for McKenna & Jeremiah’s first look. Since this location sits closer to the mountains, the sun dips behind the peaks earlier, creating a dreamy, faux golden-hour glow. It was an ideal spot for them to see each other for the first time and take in the grandeur of the Tetons before heading into the valley for more portraits.
Private Vows in a Secret Cottonwood Grove
One of our favorite moments of the day was McKenna & Jeremiah’s private vow exchange. We took them to a secluded cottonwood grove—a hidden gem we love to share with our couples. This location, known only to a few, was wrapped in golden leaves and soft grass, creating an incredibly intimate and romantic setting. Here, they exchanged gifts and whispered their promises to one another, surrounded by nature’s autumn splendor.
Ceremony at Glacier View Turnout
With their family gathered, McKenna & Jeremiah officially tied the knot at Glacier View Turnout. This location, with its panoramic view of the entire Teton Range, offered the perfect ceremony backdrop. As they exchanged rings, the mountains stood tall behind them, a reminder of the grand adventure they were beginning together.
Portraits at Mormon Row
After their heartfelt ceremony, we made our way to Mormon Row for additional portraits. This historic area, with its open fields and iconic barns, provided a stunning contrast to the mountain backdrop. One of our favorite moments from this part of the day was watching them lay in the grass together, simply soaking in the beauty of the moment and the weight of the day.
A Surprise Sunset at Windy Point
Just as we thought the day was coming to an end, nature had one last surprise in store. As we drove back, the sky lit up in a vibrant pink—a color McKenna absolutely adores. It felt like fate. We quickly pulled over at Windy Point to capture the last moments of daylight against the glowing sky, a breathtaking conclusion to an already unforgettable day.
McKenna & Jeremiah’s autumn elopement at Glacier View Turnout was a perfect blend of adventure, romance, and reverence for the incredible landscape around them. Every location we visited added its own magic, from the golden cottonwoods to the grand mountain vistas.
