Romantic Rendezvous Lodge Wedding at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

When Zibba and Ben told us they were getting married at the Rendezvous Lodge at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, we knew it was going to be something special. Nestled high in the Teton Range, this venue is breathtaking—but the couple brought the magic. Their September wedding was packed with adventure, joy, and the kind of love that makes you believe in fairytales.

The day began in gorgeous mountain resort homes, where the wedding parties got ready with laughter, stories, and sunlight streaming through the windows. The energy was contagious as everyone prepped for the big day. It’s these quiet, behind-the-scenes moments that we love so much—the bridesmaids helping Zibba into her dress, Ben’s groomsmen sharing a toast, and the genuine excitement buzzing in the air.

We took time to capture the little details—the details on Zibba’s dress, the elegant rings, and the thoughtful keepsakes they’d included. These small touches added layers to the story of their day and reflected their personalities beautifully.

Before heading to the lodge, Zibba and Ben shared a quiet first look in Grand Teton National Park. It was one of those moments that felt like time stood still. With the Tetons towering behind them, they exchanged private vows filled with emotion and promises that had us tearing up behind our cameras. The connection between them was undeniable, and the peacefulness of the park provided the perfect setting for such an intimate moment.

The Tetons are a photographer’s dream—majestic, grand, and full of depth. Every angle seemed to enhance the couple’s bond, making each frame more stunning than the last. Their love story felt right at home in such a dramatic and beautiful landscape.

The Rendezvous Lodge sits at an impressive 9,095 feet, which means guests arrived via a ski lift. And what a ride it was! Everyone got to soak in the stunning views of the valley below, glowing gold with the changing aspen and cottonwood trees. The warm hues of fall stretched across the horizon like a golden quilt, creating a sense of awe and excitement for what was to come. In the distance, smoke from a nearby wildfire added a touch of drama to the horizon, but at the lodge, the skies were clear and bright—a perfect day to celebrate.

As photographers, we couldn’t get enough of the journey up the mountain. The ski lift provided not only a sense of adventure but also unique opportunities to capture candid moments of guests marveling at the scenery. It set the tone for the entire day: breathtaking, personal, and unforgettable.

The ceremony took place on the lodge’s terrace, overlooking the valley below. Picture this: Zibba and Ben standing together, the golden valley stretching out behind them, their silhouettes striking against the vibrant scenery. The soft rustle of the breeze, the heartfelt words they exchanged, and the sheer beauty of the surroundings created a moment of pure magic. Guests couldn’t help but be swept up in the love and wonder of it all.

We loved how the decor complemented the natural setting without overwhelming it. A simple florals framed the couple beautifully, while the golden tones of the valley provided all the color and vibrancy needed. As photographers, moments like these remind us why we love what we do—capturing the connection between people and the world around them in a way that’s timeless.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we took Zibba and Ben to the mountainside for their newlywed portraits. The golden hour light was soft and dreamy, wrapping around them in a warm embrace. The backdrop of the valley, with its rich autumn colors, created a scene straight out of a painting. As twilight fell, the sky turned a dusky blue, adding a sense of calm and peace to the photos. These moments felt intimate and unhurried, giving Zibba and Ben time to soak in their first hour as a married couple. The combination of the stunning scenery and their genuine connection made these some of the most magical portraits we’ve ever captured in Jackson Hole.

If you know Zibba, you know she’s all about making sure everyone has the time of their lives. She didn’t disappoint. The reception inside the lodge was warm and welcoming, with heartfelt speeches that brought happy tears and a dance floor that stayed packed all night. And those light-up cowboy hats she handed out? Absolute genius. The photos of everyone glowing—literally and figuratively—are some of our favorites.

The decor in the lodge was the perfect mix of rustic charm and elegant touches. Simple tables were adorned with greenery, white blooms, and flickering candles, creating a cozy yet elevated atmosphere. The speeches were filled with love, humor, and gratitude, setting the stage for an evening of celebration. And when the dance party kicked off, it was impossible not to join in on the fun. Zibba’s energy was infectious, and the joy on everyone’s faces was a testament to the amazing experience she and Ben had created.

As photographers, this day was a dream. The golden hour light on the mountainside was beyond perfect, and every moment was filled with so much genuine emotion. From the quiet first look to the lively dance party, Zibba and Ben’s wedding was a celebration we’ll never forget. One of our favorite moments was sneaking the newlyweds away during cocktail hour for portraits. The light was soft and golden, and the mountains seemed to wrap around them like a protective embrace. Those photos are some of our favorites because they capture not just the beauty of the setting but also the deep connection between Zibba and Ben.

The Rendezvous Lodge isn’t just a venue—it’s an experience. From the tram ride to the mountain views to the cozy lodge vibes, it’s everything a couple could dream of. Zibba and Ben’s wedding reminded us why we love photographing love stories in places like this. The blend of adventure, natural beauty, and heartfelt celebration is something truly special.

Tips for Your Rendezvous Lodge Wedding

Planning a wedding here? Here’s what we’ve learned:

  1. Layer Up: Mountain weather can be unpredictable. Bring a jacket for those cooler moments.

  2. Plan for the Lift: Factor in time for your guests to enjoy the scenic ride.

  3. Embrace the Season: Fall in Jackson Hole is spectacular, but every season brings its own beauty. Fall brings a risk of wildfire smoke that may obstruct the view.

  4. Golden Hour: Make sure you carve out time for photos early enough as the sun does set behind the mountains long before the actual sunset time.

  5. Lighting: There is no shade at the lodge, so group photos may be better taken before you arrive at the top. The shadow hits the terrace before the valley, so in the evening, the valley below may be overexposed during the ceremony. Alternatively, if exposing for the valley, the ceremony will be silhouetted. Once the sun dips behind the peaks, it’s the perfect timing for your Newly Wed photos—you’ll be able to have proper exposure with a stunning background view.
