Canyon Run Ranch Wedding in Early Fall

Chase and Karina held the most beautiful early autumn wedding at Canyon Run Ranch.

In this article, we named CRR ‘The Best Wedding Venue in Ohio 2019,’ stating: “If you love nature, but still have a classy and hip wedding vision, then Canyon Run is worth a visit.”

The ranch itself has everything—from wildflowers fields to waterfalls to a woodland area perfectly cleared for a ceremony space. For Chase and Karina’s wedding, the raw and wild ceremony arbor was adored in hanging florals, and at the entrance to the aisle stood a doorway of hanging white petals. The owners of the ranch, Amy and Gary, have a keen eye for design, and created the arbor—it stands ready for all their couples; and the Twilight inspired floral installation was beautifully crafted by the flower goddess Flohemian Floral.

Working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure this was the wedding of Chase and Karina’s dreams was none other than Cheyenne Nicole. She is such a lovely person, and her easy going personality brings a reassuring calm to what could be a stressful day for couples. As an incredible planner, she handcrafted the literal essence of this wedding, weaving the intangible with the physical to form an event worthy of Chase and Karina’s love. This was our second time this year working her and we can’t sing her praises enough.

Did you know we do destination sessions? Although Chase and Karina held their wedding at home with friends and family, they chose to have their engagement pictures taken in Grand Teton National Park since that’s where Chase proposed to Karina in 2019. See their epic canoeing adventure here.

During the getting ready portion of the day, Chase gave Karina a locket with her mother’s photo in it so that Karina could feel her mother close to her.

Karina’s grandparents are her world. They raised her after her mother tragically passed, so they played such huge roles in the wedding day—like a first look between Karina and her grandpa, to him walking her down the aisle, giving a special speech during the reception and then sharing an important dance with Karina after.

The ceremony & family formals ended at the perfect time. When we started portraits of just Karina & Chase the sun peeked out of the clouds and filled the scene with its golden glow. The couple sent their guests to the cocktail hour, and then moved into the setting sunlight to exchange their personal vows in private. They wanted this moment to be just between the two of them.

We continued their portrait session by moving into a field that could be described as a sea of gold.

We had been dreaming of some specific drone shots, and we knew Chase & Karina would be the couple to go for it with us. It was a breathtaking evening and the portraits we got of Chase and Karina, we believe, really captured their personalities and deep love.
