Waterstone Venue Eastern Tennessee Airbnb Wedding
This wedding is also published on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, featuring a full interview of the bride.
From the diy florals to the thrifted goods, to the reason they chose the venue, every little detail of Megan & Bryan’s wedding was beautifully thought out and crafted to show their aesthetic, making it truly them.
Since they were engaged in the Smoky Mountains, Megan & Bryan knew they wanted to get away and have an intimate wedding in Tennessee. Megan searched all over the region until she came upon Waterstone in a blog post. Since it’s newly opened, the venue’s online presence is still pretty limited. So she reached out over direct message, immediately knowing this is the place they’d be wed.
Waterstone Venue used to be a rock quarry, and the new owners transformed it into a fairytale dream. The property currently has three houses (also available as Airbnb rentals for non-event nights)—a Hobbit Earth house, a tree house and a Greek house. Couples can rent all three homes, or just one. This makes it a great option for couples who want to stay overnight, and have separate places to get ready on the same property. The middle of the property features a lake with a waterfall. The best part is that even in a dry season, the waterfall can still be apart of your day since it has a pump.
The hobbit house, where Megan got ready, is probably our favorite “bridal suite” yet. We had to take advantage of the whimsical exterior and use the window as a frame for her All Who Wander Jaden dress.
Bryan & Megan kept their guest list short, only inviting their very immediate family and three friends. Both Megan's dad and grandpa walked her down the Aisle, and Bryan's dad, who is a pastor, officiated.
The reception was held in the venue’s canvas Safari-like tent where the couple shared a pizza dinner with their loved ones, and then enjoyed traditional first-dances. And at the end of the night, Megan & Bryan shared a magical last dance encircled with sparklers held by their friends and family.
It was such a beautifully sweet, intimate wedding.
